In easyLabel, item fulfillment can be managed within the app, with customer notifications about tracking information.
By default customer notifications include tracking information.
However, it's important to note that tracking is only available for specific shipping methods supported by Japan Post:
- EMS
- International Parcel
- Registered Mail
- Insured Mail
Shipping methods not listed above cannot be tracked, so please be careful.
If the shipping method above is chosen, tracking can be done and the "Submit tracking information" setting will be checked automatically.
If the shipping methods above are not selected, the "Submit tracking information" will not be selected automatically, but if a user checks it manually, a warning message will apppear.
Additionally, if a shipping method does not support tracking, the dashboard will indicate the tracking status as "Untrackable lable".
If you are planning to sell products to customers worldwide, consider informing the customers about tracking limitations to manage expectations effectively.
Using easyRates and changing the custom description could be very useful as well.
When a shipping method without tracking is submitted to the customer in the notification, the label code will be sent which is not the tracking number. This number cannot be used for tracking on the Japan Post website.
When this happens, customers may misunderstand and think you are not shipping the product so please communicate clearly to manage customer expectations.
